As a fellow stitcher -i think i have just about all of your free designs. they are printed for my own use. i have made sooooo many dragon t-shirts and gotten so many complements on them, BUT i always tell them who the designer is and to check out your site. I have picked up a couple of leaflets at various thrift store and sales. again these designs are made for my own personal use and NO ONE, repeating, NO ONE gets to use any of my Dragon dreams patterns. Ok so i am a jelous Dragon. i don;t think that others should steal your hard work in any shape or form. Let's get those thieves- Dragons would sure enjoy roasting some of these people. remeber to keep ur chin up and know that there are other dragon lovers in your corner.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5767354.post-39305280641369881842008-05-14T11:38:00.000-03:002008-05-14T11:38:00.000-03:00Awww... Jennifer, I'm so sorry these things keep happening, not only to you but all designers.

Now that I have done research into designing and business...personally I'm NOT very excited about designing for the world at large and mostly because I know I will be angry and heart broken when they are(and yes I'm sure they will be) STOLEN. It just seems like an uphill battle to start a design business under present circumstances.

The other problem I see is the internet overload of freebies, and some are very good! I don't see how one can make money with so much competition. Speaking as a stitcher... I could stitch the rest of my life, the free designs that are out there and not have to buy any designs. Very sad for talented designers, trying to make a living.

I'm having so much fun creating and I don't want to be a hunter. Too bad there were'nt authorities to do that instead of the victims having to do it. Technology has gotten ahead of laws, that's for sure.

I do find some possitive energy in the fact that the designs that I have made available to my friends has meant that they are visiting our LNS a bit more. I also get a great kick out of people's reactions when they first see my designs.

It hurts to see my role model and friend being treated unfairly. I admire your perseverance most of all right now. {{{{Hugs}}}}

PS... I could have written this as a private note, but I want people to realize that this is a HUGE problem to the industry. New designers are being scared away.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506344202782306884noreply@blogger.com
